Capsicum Rice

Ingredients
2 tbsp black gram
2 tbsp channa dal
1/2 of a big onion
1 medium tomato
3 tbsp cashew
5-6 strands mint leaf
1 strand curry leaf
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1/3 cup each of 4 color capsicum(red,green,yellow and orange)
1 1/4 cup basmathi rice
2 1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 tsp corriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1/4 tsp pepper powder
salt to taste
1 1/2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp oil

Method

1. wash rice and soak for 15 mins
2. heat pressure pan add oil and butter
3. when its hot add black gram, channa dal and fry well
4. then add onion, ginger garlic paste and stir well
5. add mint leaf, curry leaf, cashew and stir well
6. add tomato and fry till it is mashed
7. Add chopped capsicum and mix well
8. add chilly powder,coriander powder and garam masala with salt and mix well
9. add rice and stir well for 3 mins
10. add 2 1/2 cups water and mix well
11. check for salt and taste and let it boil
12. cover the cooker and let the air releases
13. add whistle and keep for 5 mins
14. before it sarts to whistle, switch off flame
15. open the cooker lid and check whether its cooked
16. add chopped corriander leaves and mix well
17. serve hot.
