Sweet/Sarkkarai Pongal

Ingredients

3/4 cup raw rice
1 cup jaggery/vellam
2 green cardamom
1/4 cup ghee
2 tsp cashew
2 tsp raisin/kismis

Method

1. Cook Rice with 2 1/2 cup water
2. Grate jaggery and add 1/4 cup water and boil to a little thicker paste(not too thick and not too thin). to check consistency, pour the boiling jaggery in water and check whether it stands as a drop and doesn't dissolve in the water
3. Now add the cardamom powder to the jaggery.
4. In a skillet with ghee roast cashew and raisin and add to the rice and mix well.
