Peas Pulao

Ingredients

1 cup Basmathi Rice
1 1/4 cup Water
1/2 cup thick Coconut milk
1 cup frozen peas
a handful of mint leaves
1 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
3/4 of a big onion
3-4 green chillies
1 bay leaf
2 cloves
1" cinnamon stick
1 javentry
3 tbsp oil+1 tbsp ghee/butter
salt to taste

Method

1. In a pressure cook, add oil and butter
2. when its hot, add bayleaf, javentry, cinnamon and cloves
3. when it splutters, add onion and fry for 2 mins, then add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell leaves and the onion is translucent, add green chillies and stir
4. Now add peas,mint leaves and stir well, now add water and coconut milk and let it to boil
5. once boiled add rice and mix along with salt according to taste
6. once it starts to bubble, close cooker and cook for 1 whistle and switch off the flame
7. remove after 10 mins and give a gentle stir(careful that not to mix to a paste)
8. Add coriander leaf and can be served with any gravy.
