Double Ka Meeta

Ingredients

4 white bread slice
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1 cardamom, crushed
1 1/2 tbsp grated nuts(cashew,badam and pistachio)
1 strand saffron
oil for frying

Method

1. Remove the bread corners, and cut the bread into 4 triangles. and keep it in sun shade for an hour(to make dry before deep frying)
2. Then deep fry in oil
3. In the mean time, add sugar with water and boil till sugar melts for about 4-5 mins
4. In another pan, boil milk very well(not to reduce, but more than just boiling), add cardamom and saffron
5. Dip the fried bread pieces and sugar syrup, top it with grated nuts
6. layer the sugar coated bread slice in serving dish and pour milk on top of it (only the amount which the slices absorb, do not add more)
7. pour milk while serving .(Serve immediately for wonderful flavors)
