Green Peas& Potato Rice

Ingredients
Basmathi Rice 1 1/2 cup
Cardamom 1
Cinnamon Stick 1"
cloves 1
Javentry 1
Bay leaf 1
asafoetida a pinch
Red chilli powder 1 1/4 tsp or to taste
Garam Masala 1 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
cumin seeds 1 tsp
Potatoes 2 small
Green Peas 3/4 cup
onion 3/4 of a big sized
oil 2-3 tbsp
Hot water 3 cups

Method

1. Wash& Soak rice for about 30 mins
2. cut onion into thin slice.
3. In a big Kadai, add oil, when its hot add the whole masalas like cardamom,cinnamon,javentry,bayleaf,cloves with a pinch of asafoetida
4. Add onion and fry until golden brown, then add the red chilly powder and garam masala. give a well fry for 2 mins or so
5. Now add potato and peas and fry well
6. then add soaked rice and fry well
7. Add Boiled water and salt to taste, and cover and cook till rice is done
8. Garnish with coriander leave and serve hot with onion Raitha
