Ingredients
1/2 cup roasted and powdered old-fashioned oats
1/4 cup roasted rava/sooji
2/3 cup buttermilk
salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
mustard, channa dal and urad dal for seasoning
hing and turmeric a pinch
curry leaf and corriander leaf
1 green chilly
1/2 of carrot, grated
1/2 tsp grated ginger
2-3 pieces cashew
Method
1. mix rava and oats powder togaether
2. add in buttermilk and enough water with salt and carrot
3. in a hot skillet with oil, season with mustard, urad dal,channa dal,ginger,green chilly, curry leaf,hing and turmeric
4. add this to the batter with cashew, and mix well
5. make as idli in idli cooker. and steam for 12-15 mins.
6. serve hot with chutney/sambhar/ gravy
